This explains what we collect, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. It covers this website and the investor list.
What We Collect
Three things, and nothing else.
- Whatever you type into the signup form: your first and last name, email address, phone number, and anything you write in the message box. You give us that on purpose and you can stop at any time.
- The ordinary record any web server keeps when a page loads, which includes your internet address, your browser, and the time of the request.
- Information about how the site is used, collected by Google Analytics: which pages you looked at, roughly where in the world you are, what kind of device you used, and how you arrived. If you fill in the signup form, Google also receives a scrambled copy of your email address and phone number. Scrambled means it is turned into a string of characters that cannot be read back as your address. Google can still match that string against an account it already holds for you, so treat it as identifying rather than anonymous.
We do not ask for and do not want financial information. Nothing on this site asks for a bank account, a card number, a social security number, or a statement of net worth. If a page ever appears to, it is not ours.
Why We Collect It
To send you the monthly investor newsletter, to tell you when a new property is available, and to answer you if you ask us something. That is the whole list.
Measuring How The Site Is Used
We look at which pages get read and which do not, so we can write better ones. That is the whole reason. We do not sell what we learn and we run no advertising, so none of it is used to target you. What Google does with what it collects is governed by Google's privacy policy rather than by this one.
We Do Not Sell Your Information
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anybody, and we do not hand it to anyone else for their marketing.
Who Handles It For Us
Three companies process your information on our behalf, each only to do the job we hired it for.
- Brevo runs the investor list and sends our email. Your name, email address, phone number and message are stored there.
- Cloudflare hosts this website and delivers it to your browser, and keeps the ordinary server records described above.
- Google Analytics measures how the site is used. It sees the pages you visit and the ordinary technical details above, and, if you fill in the signup form, the scrambled copy of your email address and phone number described earlier. We never see that copy in a readable form. We run no advertising of any kind, so nothing you do here is used to follow you around the internet with ads.
We will also disclose information where the law requires it, or where we need to in order to protect our rights or somebody's safety.
You Have To Confirm Before We Email You
Joining the list takes two steps. You send the form, then you click a link in an email we send you. If you never click it, you are not on the list and we do not email you.
Leaving The List
Every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click and we stop. You can also write to us and ask us to delete everything we hold about you, and we will.
How Long We Keep It
Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
Cookies
This site uses Google Analytics, which sets two cookies of its own to tell one visit apart from another and to recognise a returning visitor. They hold a random identifier and nothing about you personally. If you would rather not be counted, Google publishes a browser add-on that turns it off everywhere, and most browsers will block these cookies if you ask them to.
We carry no advertising scripts and nothing that follows you to other websites.
The media page embeds video from YouTube, using YouTube's privacy enhanced mode, which sets nothing until you actually press play. If you play one, YouTube may then set its own cookies, and what it does with them is governed by Google's privacy policy rather than by this one.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection and we take reasonable steps to protect what we hold. No transmission over the internet is ever completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something.
Children
This site is not meant for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Your Rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and we will. Residents of California and of the European Union and United Kingdom have those rights in law, and we apply them to everybody rather than checking where you are first. Write to [email protected] and we will act on it.
This Is Not An Offer
Nothing on this site or in anything we email you is an offer to sell or a solicitation of an offer to buy any security. Any offer is made only through definitive offering documents. Joining the investor list does not make you an investor and does not commit you to anything.
Changes
If we change this, we will change the date at the top of it.
